It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Lewis Grant Lake on November 23, 2005, in MSA Hospital, Abbotsford, B.C. Born October 4, 1951, in Bramber, Hants Co., he was a son of the late Walter Benjamin and Helen (Lake) Lake. Lewis worked for Fundy Gypsum before moving to British Columbia. Lewis worked for Lily Dale Hatchery, Alder Grove, B.C., for over 20 years. He will be sadly missed by his many friends in British Columbia and Nova Scotia. He had a great sense of humour, enjoyed going to bingo, playing baseball and horseshoes. He was a member of the Winfield Horseshoe Club, British Columbia, and won many trophy's. He is survived by his stepmother, June Lake, Brooklyn; brothers, Robert "Rob" (Jean), Windsor; Mark (Grace), Scotch Village; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by infant brother, Clarence Lake (1954). Visitation 7-9 p.m. Thursday, December 1, and 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Friday in Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King St., Windsor. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, December 3, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Shelley Pick officiating. Interment in Grace United Cemetery, Walton.
