92, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2017 at Elizabeth Church Manor. She was
predeceased by her husband of 53 years Dwight; daughter Cynthia Cogswell;
sisters Wilma Robbins and Mildred Zander. She is survived by her daughters
Brenda and Edwin Gent, Mildred and Raymond Skinner; son in law Lawrence
Cogswell; grandchildren Robert and Julie VanGorder, Archie and Leighann
VanGorder, Doreen Hayes, Leslie Carroll, Marcia and Christopher Cobb,
Steven and Denise Cogswell, Amy and Jeremy Arts, Scott and Sara Skinner,
Matthew and Chelsea Skinner; great grandchildren Audrey, Emily, Evan,
Ellie, Erin, Blake, Lauren, Taylor, Peter, Jessica, Alyssa, Lucy, Owen,
Katelyn, James, Corey (Molly), Jordan, Jenna, Mason, Addison, Lottie;
great, great grandchild Owin; several nieces and nephews. Lillian was
a member of Boulevard United Methodist Church for most of her life. She
worked at Cornaby's in Hillcrest for 10 years after spending many years at
home raising her family. She was a member of TOPS (Take off Pounds Sensibly)
and KOPS (Keep off Pounds Sensibly) for 35 years. Lillian was also an avid
artist, especially oil paintings. She was a loving mother, grandmother
and great grandmother who will be dearly missed. The family would like to
thank the staff at St. Louise Manor and Elizabeth Church Manor for the care
and compassion given to their mom over the past 8 years. A Funeral Service
will be held on Saturday, at 10:00am, at Boulevard United Methodist Church,
113 Grand Blvd, Binghamton, with Pastor Tom Easttey officiating. Burial
will be held in Chenango Valley Cemetery at the family's convenience. The
family will receive friends on Friday, from 5-7pm, at the Barber Memorial
Home, Inc., 428 Main St, Johnson City. In lieu of flowers, donations can be
made in Lillian's memory to Elizabeth Church Manor, Activities - Nursing 3,
863 Front St, Binghamton, NY 13905 or the Boulevard United Methodist Church
