Connecticut Post; Bridgeport CT; 2003-3-12 Porter, Lillian PORTER Lillian Porter, of Bridgeport, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 7, 2003, at Bridgeport Health Care Center. She was born in Akin, S.C. on September 7, 1923 to the late Elizabeth Lake. She was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors are her five daughters, Patricia Broadnax, Sandra Porter, Susan Porter, Alice Nesmith, all of Bridgeport and Cynthia Porter-Brown of Norwalk; seven sons, Dion (Deborah) Lake, Haskel (Barbara) Porter Jr. all of Bridgeport, Russell Lake (Nidal Safi) of New York, Allen (Janice) Porter of West Haven, Albert Porter and Michael Porter both of Columbia, S.C. and James Porter of Middletown and a host of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Haskel Porter Sr. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 1100 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, with Rev. David Miller officiating. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church. Interment at Park Cemetery, Bridgeport.
