Idaho Statesman; Boise ID; 2001-5-27 Lillie Lake Cherry, 97, of Emmett, formerly of Ola, died Wednesday, May 23, 2001, at an Emmett care center. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, at the Potter Funeral Chapel, Emmett, Bishop Cortland Honn will conduct. The procession will leave the Potter Chapel at 1 p.m. for the Ola Cemetery. Lillie was born July 1, 1903, at Ammon, Idaho, to David and Aurelia Paez Lake. She married Thomas P. Cherry on June 21, 1924. They spent most of their married life in Ola and High Valley, where they ranched and worked for the Forest Service. Lillie was always active in the Ola community and was very involved in several handicraft clubs. Her husband Thomas died on July 10, 1983. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Parley E. and Rozena Cherry of Morrison, Colo.; a daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Reuben Butler of Eagle; six grandchildren, Dan Cherry, Pamela Myrick, Patricia Christ, Kathy Leonard, Kristi Spicer and Keith Butler; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers, three sisters and a great-grandchild. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity. Friends may call Tuesday from 1 to 6 p.m., and Wednesday morning from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Potter Funeral Chapel.
