She was born June 17, 1919, to Eula and Frank Meredith in Austin. She was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Tech. Sgt. Henry Lake; her parents, and her daughter, Diane La France. Mrs. Lake is survived by her daughters, Margaret Reeves, Patricia Joyce Brewer and husband, Pat, Carolyn K. La France, Sandy Broadway and husband, Patrick Smith; sons, Jimmy La France and wife, Jackye, Gene La France and wife, Linda, Mark La France and wife, Carol, Frank La France and wife, Cauline and Charles La France and wife, Amy; sisters, Evelyn Phelan, Josephine Mueller, Dorothy Joseph, Catherine Rogers, Helen Meisterhands and Mattie Land; brother, Clyde Borders; and 27 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and 27 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 20, 2004, in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Memorial Hill Cemetery. Honoring Mrs. Lake as pallbearers will be Pat Brewer, William La France, Robert La France, Johnny Lee Reeves, Buster La France and Charlie La France.
