Lillie Mae Allen, Taylor Funeral Home

Salem resident Lillie Mae Allen passed away on August 12, 2000 at Canterbury
Health Facitily.  She was 85 years old.  When she was younger, she had
worked in private homes.  She was a faithful member of the St. John Baptist
Church in Crawford.  Born in Russell County, Ala on July 16, 1915, she was
the daughter of Effie Pickard and Houston Lake.
  Mrs. Allen is survived by a brother, Franklin Hughley; a sister-in-law
Willie Ann Hughley and a devoted cousin, Ezell Terry, all of Salem, AL.
  Funderal services for Mrs. Allen will be held today, August 17, 2000 at 4
p.m. at St. John Baptist Church in Crawford, Ala.  Burial will follow in the
church cemetary.
