         LAKE, Lloyd G. - (79 years). Passed peacefully away at Waterford
         Hospital, Lloyd G. Lake on March 29, 2000, of Fortune. Mr. Lake
         was a well known business man whose company, Lloyd G. Lake Ltd.,
         served the residents of the Burin Peninsula for many years. Mr.
         Lake was for many years the chairman of the Burin Peninsula
         Integrated School Board and was a member of the board of the
         Peninsula Health Care Corporation. As well, Mr. Lake was a
         dedicated member of the Fortune United Church. Left to mourn his
         wife Margaret; sons: Calvin (companion Susan) of St. John`s,
         Harold (wife Brenda) of Fortune, Bill (wife Donna) of Mount Pearl;
         daughter, Elaine (husband Vincent) of Marystown; brother, Ben
         (wife Maude) of St. John`s; six grandchildren: Justin, Mark,
         Stephanie, Jillian, Janelle, Robyn; plus a large circle of other
         relatives and friends. Rev. Ben Snook conducted Funeral Services
         at Fortune United Church Friday, March 31, 2:00 p.m. Interment was
         at Fortune United Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to
         the care of White Dove Funeral Homes, Fortune.
