Morning News; Springdale AR; 2000-1-4 Lloyd J. Lake BELLA VISTA - Lloyd J. Lake, 83, of Bella Vista died Dec. 31, 1999, at Bates Medical Center in Bentonville. He was born July 6, 1916, in Edgemont, S.D., to William Edward and Matilda Eleanor Clark Lake. He moved to the area in 1982 from Iowa. He was a member of the 18th-Hole Bella Vista Golf League, the Breeze Lovers Sail Boat Club, the Shriners Nomad Club, a life member of the Elks Lodge and was a York Rite Mason. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and a graduate of Stanford University with a degree in political science. He was a retired manager of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. Survivors include his wife, Mary Lake of the home; one son, Russ Lake of Brazil; one sister, Gwendolyn Black of Oregon; one grandchild, Erica Lake. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at National Cemetery in Fayetteville. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.
