Lonnie Lynn Lake, age 57, of French Creek, died Thursday, Oct.  2, 2014,
at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport.  He was born Feb. 9, 1957, in
Weston: a son of the late Oley Curtis and Catherine Jean Lake Keener.
He is survived by two daughters, Mariana Lake Brown of Buckhannon and
Serenity Gates of Sacramento, Cali.; three granddaughters, Kaycie and
Maddison Bobbins, both of Ravenswood and Mckenzie Laccone of Buckhannon;
one grandson, Brayden West of Buckhannon; three brothers, Rick Curtis of
Wash., Herbert Curtis of Weston and Thomas Lake of Kimballton, Iowa; and
two sisters, Louise Curtis and Linda Marple, both of Weston.  Lake was a
mechanic and welder. He served in the U.S. Army.  Friends were received
Sunday, Oct. 5, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair
Funeral Home. A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 6, at the
funeral home with the Rev. Rick Cutright officiating. Burial followed in
the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Weston. The Upshur County Honor Guard
