Lorena Lake

Dec. 22, 1912 -- Dec. 18, 2003 Lorena Sherry Lake, 90, of Modesto
died Thursday at English Oaks Convalescent Hospital. Mrs. Lake was
a native of Accord, Mo., and lived in Modesto 27 years. She was a
manager at McFarlandes Candy of Hayward for 30 years. She enjoyed
traveling. She is survived by her daughter, Janet Lawrence of
Modesto; brother, Thurman Sherry of Casper, Wyo.; sister, Bea Bohon
of Seattle; and six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and three
great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband,
Howard Wesley Lake; one daughter; four brothers; and four sisters. A
memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Lakewood Funeral Home,
Hughson. Burial is private and no visitation.
