BATESBURG, S.C. - Mrs. Louise Bolen Bryan Lake (Lulu), 79, of Highpoint
Road, Batesburg, died Monday February 24, 2003 at University Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2003
at Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home with burial in Ebenezer Cemetery.

Mrs. Lake was a native of Barnwell County and a member of Ebenezer
Baptist Church.  She was a homemaker and a quilter.

Survivors include her husband James M. Lake; one daughter, Carolyn
Bradshaw, Lincolnton, N.C.; three sons, Raymond Bryan, Augusta, Ga.,
Jimmy Bryan, Covington, Va., Lee Bryan, Saluda; four sisters, Katherine
Turner, Edgefield, Frances Maxwell, Perry, Ga., Marie Reynolds, Gaston,
Patricia Blackwell, West Columbia; one step-son, James R. Lake, Chapin;
one step-daughter, Mindy McManus, Chapin; a number of grandchildren
and great-grandchildren.

The family is at the home 910 Highpoint Road, Batesburg and will receive
friends from 6 to 8 p.m.  Tuesday at the Funeral Home.

    Batesburg -- Services for Louise "Lulu" Bolen Bryan Lake, 79, of
Highpoint Road, will be held at 11 a.m. today, February 26, 2003 at
Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home, Edgefield, with burial in Ebenezer
Cemetery.  The family is at the home, 910 Highpoint Road, Batesburg.
    Mrs. Lake died Monday, February 24, 2003 in University Hospital.
Born in Barnwell County, she was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church
and a homemaker and a quilter.

of Lincolnton, NC; sons, Raymond Bryan of Augusta, Jimmy Bryan of

of Edgefield, Frances Maxwell of Perry, Marie Reynolds of Gaston and
Patricia Blackwell of West Columbia; stepson, James R. Lake of Chapin;
Step-daughter, Mindy McManus of Chapin; a number of grandchildren and
great-grandchildren.
