Louise S. White

     AGAWAM - Louise S. (Lake) White, 87, of 55 Alfred Circle, died
Monday at a local nursing home.  She was a 20-year time clerk at the
Cheney-Bigelow Wire Works and retired in 1976.  Born and schooled in West
Spring- field, she summered in Cavendish, Vt., and lived here since 1938.
She attended the Agawam Congregational Church and was a former member
of the Springfield Archery Association at Forest and Blunt parks and the
University of Massachusetts-Amherst.  Her husband, Lewis L. White, died in
1981.  She leaves two daughters, Beverly Garvey of Springfield and Shirley
Parker of York, Maine; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Thursday morning at Agawam Curran-Jones Funeral Home,
with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery in Proctorsville, Vt.  Calling hours
are this evening.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson's
Disease Association, Massachusetts Chapter, 720 Harrison Ave., Boston,
MA 02118.

be held at the AGAWAM CURRAN-JONES FUNERAL HOME Thursday, at 9am with
burial in Hillcrest Cemetery, Proctorsville, Vermont Thursday at 1pm.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday 7-9pm.  Mem. Conts. may be made to the
