Lynne Joyce Lake, 69, of Goshen, died Sunday, November 21, 2010, at home
in Goshen.

Lynne was born July 5, 1941 in Engelwood, NY, the daughter of Lester
and Evelyn (Nelson) Walters.

Lynne was a graduate of Pascack Valley High School in 1959. She
was captain of her cheerleading squad and an avid softball player.
She loved horses and spent many years raising and caring for them on
her Thoroughbred horse farm.

Family and friends knew her for her sports enthusiasm and for always
rooting for the N.Y. Giants and the N.Y. Yankees. Her love of cooking,
yoga, animals and gardening was always admired by her family and friends.

She found great pleasure in spending her summers at Cape Pond and her
winters in Boynton Beach, FL. She attended St. Joseph's Episcopal Church
in Boynton Beach, FL, and St. James Episcopal Church in Goshen.

Lynne is survived by her son, Timothy McSpirit and his wife, Dawn of
Slate Hill; two daughters, Dora McBride and her fianc, Paul Smith of
Goshen and Susan McSpirit and her partner, Chuck Gardner of Boynton
Beach, FL; two brothers, Lester Walters and his wife, Rosanne of Monroe
and Alvin Walters and his wife, Pat of Cape Pond, Ellenville; sister,
Lydee DeLeeuw and her husband, Neal of Grant, FL; four grandchildren:
Michaela, Jake, Hallory and Jillian; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, November 26, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., at Donovan
Funeral Home, Inc., 82 S. Church St., Goshen.

Funeral Services will be held at 8:30 p.m., Friday evening, November 26,
at the funeral home, with Father Carl Lunden officiating.  Burial will
be private and at the convenience of the family.
