The State, Columbia, SC -- Nov. 13, 2002 GRADY LAKE West Columbia -- Services for M. Grady Lake, 64, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, conducted by the Rev. Dan Graves, with burial in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 tonight at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Dixie Youth Baseball, Wilson W. Howard Park or to Southside Baptist Church, Columbia. Mr. Lake died Monday, November 11, 2002. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Edgar Reeder Lake and Rosie Strickland Lake Blackwell. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church and had formerly been employed with Columbia Beauty and Barber Supply Company. Mr. Lake was inducted into the S.C.Fast Pitch Softball Hall of Fame in 1994 and was named S.C.Dixie Baseball Volunteer of the Year in 1996. He was an active member of Dixie Youth Baseball for 22 years and a member of Sinclair Masonic Lodge #154. Surviving are his wife, Ann Folsom Lake of West Columbia; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and David Lee of Lexington; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Devon Lake of Irmo; sister, Alma Sightler of Columbia; brother, Jack Lake of Lexington; mother-in-law, Pearl B. Folsom of Columbia; grandchildren, Brienna Vaught, Dyanne Vaught, Morgan Lake, Deanna Gregory and D.J.Gregory.
