She resided at The Remington, Valley Ranch, Irving, TX and previously at Three Fountains in Dallas, TX. Born on January 30, 1921, she was one of 7 children of John and Anna Safran Lake. Married on May 18, 1944 to the late Harrison R. Belden of Hatfield, MA, the family has lived in Oklahoma and Texas since 1961. Mrs. Belden is survived by: daughters, Beth J. Payne Harrell of Dallas, TX, Sheila A. Philips of Tulsa, OK, and Laura E. Potts and her husband, Larry E. Potts of Granbury, TX; sister, Minnie K. Lake, Roanoke Rapids, NC; grandchildren, Christy Beth Potts, Katy, Cindy, Judy and Benjamin Belden Philips, John and Joyce C. Rankin of Hatfield, MA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Despite health limitations, her greatest joy had been to support her family and friends in times of need. A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, August 27, 2 p.m. at Oak Lawn Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Lana Bradley of Granbury, TX.
