Portsmouth MARGARET JANICE (LAKE) FURTADO, 78, of 24 North Drive,
retired owner of Kingstown Auto Body, died yesterday at Charlton
Memorial Hospital, Fall River.  She was the wife of the late Elliott
Paul Furtado. Born in Fall River on Sept. 27, 1923, she was a daughter
of the late Abner and Gertrude (Scanlon) Furtado.  Mrs. Furtado owned
and operated the auto body shop and Kingston Transportation for 40 years.
She leaves a son, Paul Furtado of Warwick; a daughter, Lori Domingoes of
Portsmouth; a sister, Shirley Janson of Somerset; and three grand sons.
The funeral will be held Monday at 9 a.m. from Connors Funeral Home,
55 West Main Rd., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Barnabas
Church, 1697 East Main Rd. Burial will be in Newport Memorial Park,
Middletown.
