LAKE, Margaret Hendry (nee Shaw)
''Marg'' passed away at Toronto Grace Hospital at the age of 79 years
on Saturday, November 23, 2002 after a brief struggle with cancer. She
will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Margaret was born
in Toronto, Ontario on September 15, 1923 to Robert and Annie Shaw.
Margaret and the late Harry (August 15, 2002) were married in Toronto
on November 6, 1943. She is survived by sons John (Carolynn and Travis)
of Swift Current, Saskatchewan and Robert (Susan and Bill) of Okotoks,
Alberta, plus niece Kathy Shaw of Toronto. Margaret is predeceased by
husband Harry, brother Al Shaw and nephew Bob Shaw. Margaret was known
for her ability to play bridge. She never complained about her crippling
rheumatoid arthritis and maintained a keen sense of humour. Friends may
call at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas Street West,
Etobicoke (between Islington and Kipling Avenues), from 7-9 p.m. on
Wednesday. Funeral Service in the chapel on Thursday, November 28, 2002
at 1 p.m. Interment Park Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations
may be made to the Salvation Army or the Toronto Grace Hospital.
