Brattleboro Reformer; Brattleboro VT; 2001-5-4 MARGUERITE LAKE ASHUELOT, NH -- Marguerite L. "Peggy" Lake 63, of 2 Main St., Ashuelot, died Wednesday, May 2, 2001 at the Chesire Medical Ctr in Keene. She was born July 8, 1937 in Brattleboro, VT, the daughter of Ernest w and Dorothy M. (Blouin) Lewis. She attended Brattleboro schools and graduated from Brattleboro Union HS, class of 1955. She later attended the Thompson School of Nursing in Brattleboro. She was a former resident of Brattleboro and had made her home in Ashuelot for the past 15 years. She was formerly employed as a licensed practical nurse at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital and later worked with the Visiting Nurses in Cheshire County. She loved animals and was active with the bassett Hound Rescue League. She is survived by her husband, Bruce A. Lake, of Ashuelot, three sons, Bruce W. Lake of Dummerston, VT, Terry W. Lake of Vernon, VT, and Christopher J. Lake of the U.S. Air Force in Korea, one daughter, Debbie Zaccheo of Manchester, VT and eight grandchildren. A Mass for the Dead will be offered Monday, May 7 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Walnut St., Brattleboro. There are no calling hours at the funeral home. Contributions may be made in her memory to the Winchester Ambulance Service, 21 Parker St, Winchester, NH 03470. The O'Connor-Carr Funeral Home in Winchester is in charge of arrangements.
