Marie A. Lake, 73, of 524 15th Street, Bedford, died at 8:45 a.m. on 
Wednesday, January 30, 2002, at Dunn Memorial Hospital. Born December 10, 
1928 in Huron, she was the daughter of John Joseph and Dicie (Watson) Miller. 
She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith. Survivors include nine 
daughters: Diane Hanners, Jane Sykes, Marvetta Baker, Carolyn Harrison, Merle 
Hughes, Bonnie Hughes, Karen Trowbridge and Rosella Sons, all of Bedford, and 
Vera Glasgow of Madison; two sons: David Miller and Randy Lake, both of 
Bedford; one brother, Virgil Holt of Arizona; 39 grandchildren; 55 
great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death 
by her parents; one son, Donavon Watson; and two sisters: Elsie Cutter and 
Hazel Sims. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, 
February 2nd, at Patton Hill Cemetery, with Pastor Steven Epley officiating. 
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, February 2nd, at 
the Day & Carter Mortuary of Bedford.
