OBITUARY
MARIETTA J. GRANT

Marietta J. Grant, 66, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008 at Betty Dare
Nursing Home in Alamogordo, N.M.

She was born March 13, 1942 to James H. Sr. and Eva Lake. She graduated
in 1960 from Wenatchee High School.

She was the wife of the late Denny W. Grant, whom she married in Coeur
d' Alene, Idaho in 1961. They moved to Sunnyside in 1961, where they
lived until Denny's death. She moved to Puyallup until 2006 and then
to Alamogordo.

She worked at a dentist's office, as well as for her husband at Grant
and Gochnour Accountants. She was actively involved with her husband's
baseball activities. She also loved to cross stitch, read and watch
movies.

She is survived by her two children, Terry E. Grant (Jennifer) of
Alamogordo and Kimberly S. Butler (Dan) of Puyallup; five grandchildren,
Robert and McKenzie Grant, Taylor, Ryan and Emily Butler; her mother,
Eva Lake of Kennewick; and brothers, James H. Lake Jr. of Kennewick and
Roger Lake of Canada.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Denny W. Grant; her father,
James H Lake Sr.; and granddaughter, Brianne D. Butler.

She will be laid to rest by her husband's side in Gig Harbor, during a
private family service.
