Marjorie Stawls FREDERICK, Md. - Mrs. Marjorie Evelyn Lake Stawls,
82, formerly of Norfolk, died Oct. 27, 2008, at College View Center,
Frederick. She was the wife of the late Garland Stawls. Born May 18,
1926, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late George W. and
Laura Jackson Lake. Prior to moving to the Frederick area five years
ago, Mrs. Stawls lived for many years in the Norfolk area. She worked
in earlier years for the Virginia Electric and Power Company. She is
survived by her brother, George Lake of Morrisville, Pa.; two sisters,
Laura Gaertner of Frederick and Eleanore Olsen and husband William of
Virginia Beach; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be private
and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled
by Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church St., Frederick, Md.
