Published in the Patriot-News on 4/6/2008. Harrisburg PA Mark H. Lineberry Mark Holden Lineberry, 60, lost his brief battle with cancer in Davidson, NC on March 21, 2008 with his family at his side. Born September 18, 1947 and raised in suburban Philadelphia, Mark resided and worked in New York City after his college days at Penn State. A talented composer/musician and media producer, Mark's client list included such names as Arista Records, Baccarat Crystal and CBS Records. His compositions have been recorded and marketed internationally. Head Cleaner, an urban acoustic band and his most recent project, was the recipient of several awards, as were a number of Mark's compositions. Head Cleaner's 2002 CD garnered enthusiastic revues both on the air and in the press. Playing to packed houses throughout the greater northeast, Head Cleaner often performed at the famous Bleecker Street "CBGB's". Mark not only always gave of himself as a teacher and mentor to many young aspiring musicians and songwriters, but he was always ready to lend a helping hand. A fiercely competitive racquetball player, he was proud of his many trophies. His racquetball compatriots at NYU, where he played and instructed, commented on the YouTube posting of his video 'Every Human Heart', "Mark, you've touched everyone in the RB club with your grace and spirit. Keep it going on the other side." Friends and fans in New York are planning Memorial events to celebrate his life and legaacy. Surviving are his sister, Tanya S. Wagner of Mechanicsburg; brother, Dr. Charles G. Lineberry of Raleigh, NC; four nephews, Stephen Wagner of Harrisburg, PA, Dr. Chris Lineberry of Phoenix, AZ, David Lineberry of Raleigh, NC, Jeff Lineberry of Greensboro, NC; and two nieces, Lynn Myers of York, PA and Cate Lineberry of Silver Spring, MD.
