Albuquerque Journal; Albuquerque NM February 27, 2003 Marlin Royce Lake, 46, a resident of Belen, New Mexico passed from this life to be with the Lord Jesus on Monday, February 24, 2003. He graduated from Belen High School in May of 1974. He also attended plumbing school at T.V.I. in Albuquerque. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Marlin was an artist in many mediums of art including musician, metal art and chalk artist. He made his profession in the water well drilling business. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, E.G. and Lucille Lake of Belen; his maternal grandparents, Lloyd O. and Neva Ness of Ada, Minnesota; and his nephew, Mark Morerod of Belen. He is survived by his parents, Eppa L. and Lucille (Ness) Lake of the family home in Belen; one sister, Samia Morerod and husband, Boyd of Los Chavez, New Mexico; three brothers, Steve Lake and wife, Peggy of Harpursville, New York, David Lake of Belen and Patrick Lake and wife, Patricia of Los Lunas, NM; nieces and nephews, Samial Morerod and wife, Traci and Aaron Morerod and wife,Tarah both Belen, Benjamin Eppa, Rebecca, Sarah and Rachel Lake of Harpursville, April and Danielle Lake of Minnesota, Tacarra and Kaylin Lake of Los Lunas. He is also survived by many aunts and uncles of the Lake and Ness families; and many cousins and friends. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 28, 2003 at the First Baptist Church in Belen. Romero Funeral Home, 609 N. Main St., Belen, NM.
