Marsha Kazuko Lake, 51, Glenview Methodist Preschool teacher from
Glenview, died Dec. 8.

Mrs. Lake was born Feb. 15, 1952 in Chicago. She was raised in Chicago,
graduating from Haight School and Senn High School; and received a
bachelor's degree in elementary education and a master's degree in
learning disabilities from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb.

She taught special education at Stewart and Stockton schools in Chicago;
and was active, along with her husband, in the Willow Creek North Shore
Church in Northfield.

Survivors include her husband, Steven, superintendent of the Lincolnwood
Public Schools; her daughter, Jennifer; her son, Jonathan; her parents,
George and Helen Miyagawa; her sister, Gail (Rich) Hanaoka; and nephews
and nieces, Kristin, Kelly and Tracy Hanaoka, and Jason and Tifanie Lake.

Visitation was held Friday, Dec. 12 at N. H. Scott & Hebblethwaite Funeral
Home in Glenview. A funeral service was held Saturday, Dec. 13, at Willow
Creek North Shore, Christian Heritage Academy in Northfield. Interment
was private.
