Hagerstown Morning Hagerstown MD 8 Aug 2012 Martha Ann Janson, 82, of Falling Waters, W.Va., and formerly of Williamsport, Md., and Uniontown, Pa., passed away Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, at her home. Born June 12, 1930, in Keisterville, Pa., to the late William Paris and Mary Jeanette Sanner Robbins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Francis "Jerry" Janson, in 2009. She was a 1949 graduate of Uniontown Senior High School. She was employed as a secretary at the guidance office at Williamsport High School, retiring in 1992. She was a member of St. Augustine's Catholic Church, Williamsport. Survivors include daughter, Suzann Janson Rohrer and her husband, Thomas R. Rohrer, of Hagerstown, Md.; sister, Pearl Mae Shirocky of Dickerson Run, Pa.; sister, Virginia "Marie" Steranko of Anderson, S.C.; brother, Charles Thomas Robbins of Keisterville, Pa.; brother, Frederick Lawrence Robbins of Uniontown; grandchildren, Victoria Janson Rohrer and David Thomas Rohrer; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Alfred Clark Robbins and Sheldon Nolan Robbins. The family will receive friends at Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, on Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, from 7 to 9 p.m. Prayers will be offered at 6:30 p.m. The funeral home will be open after 9 a.m. Friday for the convenience of family and friends. A Catholic funeral liturgy will be held at Osborne Funeral Home on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at 10 a.m. with Monsignor Alfred E. Smith officiating. The family requests the omission of flowers.
