Wagner, 100, passed away Saturday, May 7th, at Valley View Center for Nursing Care and Rehabilitation, Goshen, NY. She was a resident of Southwinds Retirement Home in Middletown. Martha was born in Beechwood, NY on February 7, 1911, to William H and. Mary Katherine Boyle Winand. She was the widow of Phillip E. Wagner, who died on August 11, 1965. Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy Mann and her husband, Gordon of Middletown; one son, Robert Wagner and his wife, Ada of Wurtsboro; daughter-in-law, Faye Wagner of Scotchtown; nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren; three sisters: Agnes Travis, and Anna Decker of Goshen and Florence Van Gelder of Naples, FL along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Harold Wagner; sisters, Mary Long, and Katherine Perrello; brother, William Winand and great granddaughter, Tabatha Joslin. Martha was a caring, loving matriarch of her loving family. She was known to all in her family as "Nannie". She was a very sweet, gentle person who had a great sense of humor and was kind to all she came in contact with. The family would like to thank the staff of Valley View on Glenmere 2 for their exteremely loving care and support for the short time that Martha was in their care. The family would also like to give a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Southwinds Retirement Home for their compassionate care, love and support while Martha was a resident there for the past seven years. Friends are invited to call on Friday, May 13th from 12 to 2 p.m. at Morse Funeral Home Inc, 33 Railroad Ave, Middletown, NY.
