MARY ELIZABETH CURRY, 96, of Barboursville, widow of Dr. Raymond Haile Curry, died Friday in Baltimore. She taught home economics in Hamlin. Survivors include one daughter, Margaret Ann Curry Wise; and one son, Dr. William Lake Curry. Funeral 11 a.m. Wednesday at Kuhn Memorial Presbyterian Church; entombment in Abbey of Devotion, Ridgelawn Memorial Park. Friends may call form 6 to 9 p.m. today in Wallace Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a. m. Wednesday, January 13,1999, at Kuhn Memorial Presbyterian Church by Beth Bondurant, Interim Lay Pastor. Entombment will he in Abbey of Devotion, Ridgelawn Memorial Park. She was born December 26,1902, in Higginsville, Missouri, a daughter of the late Lytton and Mamie Barger Lake. She taught home economics in Hamlin, W.Va., and in Higginsville, Mo. She was a member of Kuhn Memorial Presbyterian Church for 70 years, past president of the Woman's Club of Barboursville, past president of the Auxiliary to the Cabell County Medical Society, and a member of the Barboursville Senior Citizens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Haile Curry, M. D. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Margaret Ann Curry Wise, and her husband, Charles William Wise Jr.; one son and daugh-ter-in-law, William Lake Curry, M. D. and his wife, Charlotte Browning Curry; five grandchildren, Elizabeth Marie Wise, Charles Raymond Wise and his wife, Diane, James William Curry, Elizabeth Browning Curry and Raymond Scott Curry and his wife, Anne; three great-grandchildren, Scott William Wendel Wise, Ethan Charles Bailey Wise and Caroline Elizabeth Curry.
