Holt, 83 Mary Aiken Kishpaugh Holt, 83, of Columbia, S.C., died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2003, in the Life Care Center in Columbia following an extended illness. She was a native of Transylvania County and lived in Henderson County most of her life. She was a daughter of the late Caney and Daisy Aiken. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Claude Brown Kishpaugh in 1972 and Dr. Robert Earl Holt in 1984. She worked for First Union Bank in Hendersonville as a teller for 15 years, retiring in 1974. She was a very active member of Hendersonville First Baptist Church and was a member of the Rob Morris Chapter 299 of the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include five children, Kathryn Semones and Mary Elizabeth Brookshire and her husband, Michael, of Columbia, S.C., James Kishpaugh and his wife, Margaret, of Houston, Texas, Carey Ann Godwin and her husband, Mark, of Charleston, S.C., and Steven Kishpaugh and his wife, Melissa, of Hendersonville; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Ann Pace of Hendersonville and Virginia Grossman of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; three brothers, Hugh Aiken and Mack Aiken of Hendersonville and Carey Aiken of Asheville; and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Wally Shamburger will officiate. The family will be at the residence of Betty Ann Pace, 701 Oak Terrace Drive.
