MARY K. LAKE
Hobart, IN Age 87, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2007, in Portage,
IN. Mary had been a Hobart area resident for the past 52 years. She
was a Gold Star Mother, a member of the Eastern Star of Indiana Harbor,
VFW Auxiliary Post 5365, and past President of Hobart Jr. High PTA. Mary
enjoyed walking her dog "Maggie" and cooking. Mary is survived by her
2 sons, Charles (Darlene) Lake of Valparaiso, IN, and James (Kathy)
Lake of Hobart, IN; 1 brother, Joe (Giselle) Smith of Panama City, FL;
7 grandchildren & 16 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her
parents, husband, 1 son, John William Lake, 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
Funeral service for Mary will be on Monday, December 31, 2007, at 9:00
a.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, with Pastor
Bob Burton officiating. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery in
Merrillville, IN.  Visitation will be Sunday, December 30, 2007, from 3 -
