Mary Lakos (1915-2011)
September 26, 1915 - January 19, 2011

Mary Lakos fell asleep in the Lord on January 19, 2011, at the age
of 95 years. Born on the island of Chios, Greece on September 26,
1915 and arrived in the United States in 1947 as a new bride. A proud
naturalized citizen of the U.S.A.; she lived in the South Bay for over 60
years. Preceded in death by her husband, Constantine (Gust) Lakos, she is
lovingly survived by her daughter, Fay (Cary) Constantine; and grandson,
Kyrk; son, Steve (Allison) Lakos; and granddaughter, Kalysta. She also
leaves behind a sister, Anna, numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren in
both the U.S. and in Greece.  Those who wish to pay their respects may do
so at the Trisagion service to be held on Sunday, January 23, 2011 at 5:00
p.m. at Rice Mortuary, Torrance.  A private funeral service will be held
on Monday, January 24, 2011 at Saint Katherine Greek Orthodox Church,
Redondo Beach, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saint
Katherine Greek Orthodox Church, 722 Knob Hill Avenue, Redondo Beach,
