Emmett Messenger Index; Emmett ID; 2000-3-1 Meda E. Beutler, 107, of Yba City, California, formerly of Emmett and Boise, died Friday, February 25, 2000 at a Yuba City area hospital. Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 3, 2000 at the Emmett Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 10 a.m. until :45 p.m. at which time the procession will leave the Potter Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Beutler was born on April 10, 1892 in Oxford, Idaho. She was married to William J. Beutler on July 24, 1911 at Caldwell. They lived in Emmett where they raised four sons and four daughters. Some years after the death of her husband in 1952 she moved to Boise and later moved to Yuba City, California. She was a member of the L.D.S. Church, and enjoyed crocheting, knitting and making quilts for her family. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth. Survivors include three sons, Cal and Wayne of Yuba City, and George of Emmett; four daughters, Helen, Juanita and Belva all of Washington state and Frances of Torrance, CA; her brother, Ivan Lake of Boise; twenty-four grandchildren; sixty-five great-grandchildren and numberous nieces and nephews.
