Published in the Newark (OH) Advocate on March 24, 2013 Newark, OH HEATH: A memorial service for Michael Steven "Steve" Lake, age 59, of Heath, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, at the Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral Cremation Service with Pastor Eric Miller officiating. Steve passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at The Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus. He was born November 25, 1953 in Newark, Ohio. Steve was a construction foreman on many buildings, including high rise projects. He loved rock-n-roll and all forms of music. He is survived by his special life-friend, Tracey Bradshaw; mother, Charlene Mae (Trickle) Trager; sons, Levi D. (Colleen) Lake of Heath, Steve Shults of Newark; daughters, Jade Ashleigh Lake of South Carolina, Christine Black and Brandy Shults both of Newark; grandchildren Rayn, Iris, Dustin, Chelsea, Addison, Kaylie; and one great-granddaughter Raelle, aunts, Delores McDonald, Betty Embry, and Jerri Mahan; cousins, Sharon Redmon and Joyce Brown, Donald Trickle, Joe Mahan, Mary Lucas and Lue Meckley. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald B. Lake and step-father, Francis Trager, and welcomed by his best friend, Rick Bradshaw. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the time of service at the funeral home, 59 North Fifth Street, Newark.
