Hoag Visitation for Mildred Edna Hoag of Bellingham will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at Jerns Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the James Street Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with Bishop Peter Rensink officiating. Burial will be at Greenacres Cemetery. Mrs. Hoag died Thursday, Aug. 26, 1999, at her home. She was 91. She was born Nov. 16, 1907, to Ben C. and Mary E. (Beckelshymer) Ferguson in Anacortes. Mrs. Hoag was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served full-time in the mission of the church, as a Temple Ordinance worker and in the church auxiliary. She also was a member of the Bellingham Senior Center. Survivors include son George W. Lake of Bellingham; daughters Muriel Peavyhouse of Anchorage, Alaska, and Barbara J. Carter of Tampa, Ha; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and many foster children. Memorials may be made to a charity of one choice.
