Born December 16, 1925, in Cambridge, Hants Co., she was a daughter of the late Roswell and Elsie (Brown) Lake, Bramber. Mim will be remembered most for her unending love of God, her family and friends. Mim dedicated many years of Friday nights organizing and running dances for the Selwood Youth Group in the Bramber community. Her home and her kitchen were always open to the young people. Mim was a devoted member of the Kempt United Baptist Church, Summerville. She is survived by her sons, Ron (Margie), Fort McMurray, Alta.; Ken (Karen), Dartmouth; Maurice (Rosemarie), Bramber; sister, Grace Lake, Windsor; grandchildren, Shona Lake-Crossley; Bobbi, Troy, Danny and Chris Lake; Aaron, Kyle, and Ashley Tucker; several great-grandchildren. Mim was predeceased by her husband, Leslie Emerson Tucker; brothers, Stafford and Norman Lake. Cremation has taken place. Visitation was held Thursday, August 10, in J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Summerville, Hants Co. Memorial service to be held 2 p.m. today, August 11, in Kempt United Baptist Church, Summerville, Rev. Garnet Parker officiating. Burial of ashes in Bramber Cemetery, Bramber. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mim's memory may be made to Kempt United Baptist Church (New Hymm Book's fund), Summerville, Hants Co., NS B0N 2K0 or any charity of your choice.
