LEXINGTON - Mildred H Franks, 93, of Lexington died Monday, Sept 3, 2001 at
Tri-County Hospital in Lexington.
    Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Greenwood Cemetery in
Lexington with the Rev Ron Masten officiating.
     Visitation will be from 7 to 9 pm Friday at the Reynolds-Love Chapel in
Lexington and from 9 a.m. to service time Saturday.  Memorials are suggested
to the family or Lexington Rescue Unit.
     She was born Jan 22, 1908, near Stockville to Arthur and Orpha
(Cantrall) Lake.  She grew up in Lincoln and Dawson counties.  In 1932, she
married Harry Franks in North Platte.  They made their home in Dawson
County, where they farmed.  Her husband died in 1960.  She moved to
Lexington in 1961.
     She enjoyed traveling and going to wrestling matches.  She also loved
cooking, gardening and spending time with her family.
    Survivors include her son, Harry of Shepherdsville, Ky.; sister, Amy
Davis of Cozad, Opal Magnuson of Lexington and Nona Heyen of Seward; seven
grandchildren; and 11 great- grandchildren,
    In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, a sister
and a grandson.
