Mildred Jones Lake  

Mildred Jones Lake, 89, of South Charleston died Saturday, Feb. 12,
2005, at her residence after a long illness.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Cline Lake; son, Danny
Elliott Lake; parents, Alfred and Bessie Lee Lewis Jones; and brothers,
Alfred Earl Jones, Howard Stanley Jones, and Homer Glen Jones.

She was a charter member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church, where she was
a 50-year member of the choir, and a resident of South Charleston since
the age of 12.

Surviving is her daughter, Shirley Ann Lake of South Charleston;
daughter-in-law, Patricia Lake of South Charleston; and several nieces
and nephews.

Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, at St. Timothy Lutheran
Church, 900 Lawndale Lane, Charleston, with the Rev. Richard G. Mahan
officiating. Burial will be in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 14, at the church.

Flowers are welcome, but also memorial donations may be made in the name
of Mildred Lake to the St. Timothy Building Fund, 900 Lawndale Lane,
Charleston, WV 25314.  Good Shepherd Mortuary, South Charleston, is in
charge of arrangements.
