Born October 31, 1931 in East Walton he was a son of the late Trenholm and Dorothy (Thorpe) Lake. He retired from Seaport Construction in 1991. Before that he worked in the Caribou Gold Mines, Walton Barite Mine and the Department of Lands and Forest. Milton enjoyed the outdoors, farming, his dog Rosie and teasing everyone. He loved his grandchildren immensely. Surviving are his wife, Margaret (Ward); sons, Kevin (Teresa), Dwayne (Sherry), Randy (Connie) and Curtis, all of East Walton; Harold (Patti), Moose Brook; daughters, Wanda (Peter) Eddy, Singer Road; Dorothy (Shannon) White, Kennetcook; grandchildren, Laura, Nathan, Brian, Selena, Rachel, Robert, Trenton, Travis, Gordie, David, Danny, Ryan and Kirklon; brothers, Alton (Evelyn), East Walton; Walter (June), Brooklyn, Hants Co.; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Ted; sister, Ada. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today, in J.Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Summerville. Funeral service 2 p.m. Friday, in Grace United Church, Walton, Rev. Marilyn MacDonald officiating and assisted by Mr. Alex Mosher. Interment in Grace United Church Cemetery, Walton. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
