Beaver Times Beaver County, PA Thursday, November 29, 2007 Miriam S. (Robins) Mattison Sewickley Miriam S.. (Robins) Mattison, age 81, a resident of Masonic Village at Sewickley, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2007, at UPMC Horizon. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, on July 28, 1926, to the late Charles L. and Alice E. (James) Robins. Mrs. Mattison was a member of the First Baptist Church of Coraopolis, a quilters club and a folging group. She attended the Coraopolis United Methodist Church. She had attended Bob Jones University for two years, where she had met her beloved husband, Howard. The Rev. Howard Mattison and Miriam were married for 57 years until his death on Nov. 15, 2006. Mrs. Mattison worked for a short period as a dental assistant. The job she loved was being a teacher's aide at West Hills Intermediate Unit and Quaker Valled Schools. She loved her students. She is survived by her loving children, Sandra Love and her husband David of Hermitage and Scott W. Mattison and his wife Sally of Mr. Job: Five grandchildren, Stephanie and Christopher Mattison, David Love and his wife Emily, Matthew Love and his wife Veronica, and Jennifer Jones and her Husband Shaun: five great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Love, Olivia, Owen and Evan Jones, and Natalie Love; one sister, Louise Skinkle and her husband Edwin of Michigan, and one brother, Donald Robins and his wife Pat of Philadelphia. Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Copeland Coraopolis Funeral Home, 867 Fifth Ave., www.copelandfuneralhomes.com . Further visitation will be held Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon at the Coraopolis United Methodist Church, 1205 Ridge Ave., Coraopolis, PA 15108.
