NELLIE MAGUIRE Grant
Nellie Beatrice Maguire, 87, of Grant, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000 at
her residence in Grant.
She was born Nellie Beatrice Lake in Barry County, the daughter of
Alice Irene MeEwen and Daniel Lake, on Aug. 20, 1912. She married
Clyde R. Maguire on March 30, 1929 in Big Rapids and he preceded her
in death on Dec. 25, 1980. She was a cook for Comstock Park Schools
until 1970 and she was a member of Grant United Church of Christ.
She is survived by her children, Lois and George Drayton of Ludington,
Raymond Maguire of Round Rock Texas, and Alberta Piec@owlak of
Grant; 19 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-
great-grandchildren; sister, Letta Baker of Big Rapids; and brother,
Forest and Delia Lake of Lakeview. She was preceded in death by two
daughters, Beatrice Beckwith in 1995 and Luella Maguire in 199 1.
Memorial services will be announced later. Memorials may be made to
Hospice of Newaygo County or Grant United Church of Christ.
