NELLIE HOPE WINGATE, 80
Retired Salesperson

Nellie Hope Wingate, 80, of Millville, died at the Hospice Outpatient
Center in Bridgeton after a brief illness.

Born in Philadelphia, Mrs. Wingate had lived in Millville for more than
20 years.  She was retired as a salesperson for Fath Department Store
and Ocean Fresh.  She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW
and a member of both Millville and Bridgeton Eagles.  She enjoyed reading
and gardening and had a real green thumb tending to her flowers.

She is survived by two sons, William Hitchner and wife, Regina of Texas,
and John Hitchner and companion, Jane of Millville; three daughters,
Donna Hitchner of Newport, Nellie Minton and husband, Dean of Millville
and Mary McNemar and husband, Vincent of Alabama; brother, Sherman Lake
and wife, Lillian of Pennsylvania; 14 grandchildren; and numerous nieces
and nephews.

Services and burial will be private.
