Lansing MI GUYER, NORMA JEAN (LAKE) East Lansing Born January 26, 1930 near Sturgis, MI; died peacefully in her home October 19, 2001, at the age of 71. Raised in Lake City, MI and a resident of East Lansing since 1950, she shared her life as a warm, caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother and devoted MSU Spartan. She warmly gave to the community through her longtime participation and Presidencies in MSU Faculty Folk, East Lansing Women's Club and Child Study, her over 30 years of volunteer work at Sparrow and Ingham Hospitals, and 50 years of dedicated support of Michigan State University, including a period of gracious hospitality as MSU's First Lady. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Gordon Guyer; daughter, Dawn (Charlie) Gregory of Bartlett, IL; son, Daniel (Ann) Guyer of East Lansing; sister, Janet Jaquays of Spring Arbor; her 5 pride and joy grandchildren, Kelly, Trever, Cory, Kyle and Hannah. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 24, 2001 at 10 a.m. at Edgewood United Church, 469 Hagadorn Road, East Lansing. Interment will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Boughton Cemetery, Pavilion Township, Scotts, Michigan. The family will receive friends at the Gorsline-Runciman Co. East Chapel, 1730 E. Grand River Avenue, East Lansing, Monday from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to the Norma J.
