Lake, 70, died Thursday at Hospice of Louisville's inpatient unit at Norton Health-care Pavilion. He was a native of Syracuse, N.Y.; a writer; a retired Baptist minister, who served at Baptist churches in Portland, Pa., and Brewerton, N.Y., for more than 30 years; and a volunteer for HIghview Baptist Church. Survivors: his wife, Gayle Lake; a son, Dale Lake; sisters Dawn Lake, Hope Hatch and Iris Emore; and three grandchildren. Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. Burial: Resthaven Memorial. Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Monday and after 10 a.m. Tuesdday. Memorial gifts: Rev. Norman D. Lake publishing fund, c/o the funeral home.
