KITTS, Opal Louise Lakins  - age 65, of Rutledge, TN passed away
Wednesday, February 27, 2002 at 5:45 a.m. at St. Mary's Medical
Center in Knoxville, TN.  She was a member of Blaine's Chapel American
Christian Church.  Preceded in death by:  parents, Joe Deaver and Anna
Mae Lakins.  She is survived by:  husband, James K. Kitts; daughter
and son-in-law, Bill & Michele Barnhill; 2 grandchildren, Kimberly and
Bradley Barnhill; step-daughter and son-in-law, Chester and Brenda Foster;
2 step-grandsons, Eric and wife Ann Foster and Ross and wife Robin Foster;
5 great grandchildren all of Rutledge; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law,
J.C. & Brenda Lakins of Rutledge and James Headrick and Gladys Lakins
of Morristown; several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be
2 p.m.  Friday, March 1, 2002 at the Blaine's Chapel American Christian
Church with Rev. Tommy Frye, Rev. Phil Seaton and Rev. Hollis Dunsmore
officiating.  The body will lie in state from 1-2 p.m. prior to the
service.  Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.  The family
will receive friends Thursday, February 28, 2002 at Smith Funeral Home
from 7-9.  Arrangements by Smith Funeral Home in Rutledge.
