Published in Reno Gazette-Journal on November 13, 2011 Reno NV Patricia Criddle September 26, 1953 November 7, 2011 Patricia Criddle died peacefully in Sparks surrounded by her family. She was born in Sioux City Iowa to Doris and Robert Lake and graduated from Artesia High School in Lakewood California. After relocating to Reno, she worked for Harrah's for 31 years where she made many lifelong friends with her memorable and bubbly personality. She married the love of her life, Ralph Criddle on September 26, 1977. In 1993, she was overjoyed to achieve her dream of adding a child to her life, when Ronnie Criddle became her son. Patti was always a loving, positive, and happy friend, wife, and mother; she was the person that everyone was blessed to have in their life. She brought light into holiday gatherings, warmth into every room and her laughter was contagious. Everyone that knew her will remember her enormous love of baking, crafting, gardening and especially knitting. Of great joy to Patti was family togetherness - the more the merrier! A home at the holidays (or any other time) could never be overfilled with the love and laughter of family. And Patti brought everyone together to feel that warmth. She had that gift. Patti is survived by her husband of 34 years, Ralph Criddle, her son Ronnie Criddle, her step-son Keith Criddle (Carol Criddle), granddaughter Sydney Criddle, and sisters Mary Hull, Donna Wickers, Denise Lake, and Rhonda Sutton. And of course, an individual such as Patti leaves behind far, far too many friends to list. Per her wishes, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Cancer Society.
