Great Falls Tribune Great Falls MT 2-4-2007 HELENA - Great Falls native Patricia Lake O'Loughlin, 83, of Helena, died of natural causes Saturday at her Helena home. At her request, no services are planned. Survivors include her children, Michael O'Loughlin of San Francisco, Carl O'Loughlin, Laurie Neils and Sheila Lopach, all of Helena; and a sister, Karen Leigh, of Kalispell Great Falls Tribune Great Falls MT 2-5-2007 HELENA - Great Falls native Patricia Lake O'Loughlin, 83, of Helena, died of natural causes Friday at her Helena home. At her request, no services are planned. Patricia Lake O'Loughlin died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2007, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Pat was born in 1923 in Great Falls to Clarence and Doris Lake. She attended local schools and the University of Montana, where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma social sorority. She married James O'Loughlin in 1944. The couple lived in Bozeman, Portland and Kalispell, before settling in Helena in 1974. Jim died in 1995. Pat and Jim had four children, three of whom live in Helena. Her children and grandchildren cherished their time with Grandma. Pat loved her home, particularly her flowers and the birds she fed faithfully until very recently. She had a special place in her heart for Mac, her Scottish Terrier. Pat's strong will and independence were family traits. She was a great-granddaughter of Cornelius Hedges, a Montana pioneer. Her grandfather, Henry Hedges, ranched near Saco. Pat is survived by her children and their families, Michael, Mary and Beth O'Loughlin of San Francisco; Carl, Gail, Kevin and Kelly O'Loughlin of Helena; Laurie, Kerry and Bridget Neils of Helena; and Sheila, Dennis, Laura and Patrick Lopach of Helena; and her sister, Karen Leigh, of Kalispell. She will be greatly missed by her "adopted" family - Rosie, Jim, Katie and Lexi Gilbert of Kalispell, and by her extended family across the United States. Pat was preceded in death by her only brother, Donald Hedges Lake.
