The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Wayne County, 2525 Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691. She was born Nov. 21, 1944, in Cleveland to Earl E. and June L. (Eason) Lake and married Henry J. Schlabach on Aug. 27, 1965. He survives. She retired from Rubbermaid Inc. in 1990, following 24 years of service, and was a past member of Shreve Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). She enjoyed camping and mushroom hunting, family fishing trips to Rice Lake and other lakes in Canada, collecting and feeding birds. Pat loved her family, especially her granddaughter, Rachel, the apple of her eye. Surviving in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Paula (Earl) Dravenstott Jr. of Wooster; grandchildren, Rachel (Steve) Besancon of Smithville, Ariel, Travis, and Faith Dravenstott, all of Wooster; a great-granddaughter, Lavigne Dravenstott of Wooster; a brother, Robert "Bob" (Sue Patrick) Lake of North Carolina; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded by a sister, Judy Edwards. NOTE from Bob Strock : I'm not sure of the facts but I missed the connection of Pat to the one I have as a Wheaton-Uhl connection. I am cc'ing Jack Sautter so he can show his mother and hope to be given some correct information. I have Pat as Patricia Maple the daughter of William Wheaton Maple and June Eason. Who marries Henry Schlabach. There must have been an adoption or .... I'll get back to you when I find out more. I suspect that she is a Lake who along with her sister was adopted by William Wheaton. From: Bob Strock I was correct in wondering about the obit being right. Patricia's correct father is William Wheaton Maple and mother June L. Eason. June marred Earl E. Lake when her daughters were teenage and according to the granddaughter, Paula, Earl was known as their grandfather. Paula says that the person taking the information for the obituary got it wrong. Normally the paper would print a corrected obit but I guess not this time. You know I just looked at June's information and she had two marriages listed, the second one to Earl E. Lake but it is without a date.
