Published in the Star Tribune from 12/2/2007 - 12/3/2007. Minneapolis MN Lake, Paul J. age 59, of Richfield, died at home surrounded by his family and friends. He was a kind, loving family man, known for his generous care- giving nature. He valued his family and friends above all and considered his friends family. Proudly served in the U.S. Army during Viet Nam and fulfilled his last wish by visiting the Viet Nam Memorial this last fall. Paul was a dedicated employee of the U. of M. for 33 years. His loyalty and passion for his work was acknowledged by the U. of M. by naming the 3rd largest chiller plant in MN the "Paul Lake Chiller Plant". Preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Antoinette Lake and his grandson, Jacob Lake. Survived by his children, James, Jason and Stephanie; grandchildren, Brianna, Erika, Cameron, Taylor, Kate, Ashley, Jamie, Stella, Francesca and Ethan; brother, Ed; and sisters, Rita and Doreen; and many friends. Mass of Christian Burial, Wednesday, 11 AM at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 5426 12th Ave. S. Interment Ft. Snelling.
