Pearl Gilbert

Pearl Gilbert, 79, of Mentor, died Feb 9, 2001, in her home.  She was born 
March 18, 1921, in Peoples, Ky. and had been a resident of Mentor for four 
years.  Prior to that time, she lived in Richmond Heights.  She was a 
homemaker and a member of Willoughby Baptist Church.

Survivors include: two sons, Ace (Patty) Gilbert of Cincinnati and David 
Gilbert of Alliance; two daughters, Mae (Chuck) Klaue of Florida, and Sue 
(Terry) Hager of Mentor; 10 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one 
brother, Walker Lakes of Cincinnati; three sisters, Betty Ralph of Florida, 
Lucy Hamilton of Dayton, and Flo Tompkins of Tiffin.  She was preceded in 
death by: her husband, Ace, in 1993; a daughter, Ruth Ellen Gilbert; 
brothers, Luther and Jack Lakes; sisters, Emma Finch, Stella Ambrose.

Graveside service was held Feb. 13 in section 26 of Mentor Cemetery.  The 
Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, Painesville was in charge of funeral 
arrangements.
