Peggy A. Summers, 48, of Akin died at 9:27 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009
in the Franklin Hospital in Benton.  Visitation will be from 5 to 8
p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15 in Hobbs-Johnson Funeral Home in Benton. Funeral
services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with
Pastor Derrick Cairel officiating. Burial will be in Brady Cemetery
in Akin.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Justin Summers
college savings account and will be accepted at the funeral home.
Ms. Summers was born July 17, 1961 in Springfield, the daughter of Frank
William Lake and June Yvonne (Reed) Lake.  She was the postmaster at the
Akin Post Office and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed crocheting,
working in the yard and gardening. She was very proud of her two sons,
Jason and Justin.  Surviving relatives include two sons, Jason Summers
of Akin and Justin Summers of Akin; her parents, Bill and June Lake of
Girard; two sisters, Sue Lake of Benton and Billie Bunt and husband
Doug of Shipman; three brothers, Mark Lake and wife Misi of Nilwood,
Jerry Lake of Nilwood and William Lake of Girard; and several nieces,
