The Chronicle Herald Saturday, May 8, 2010 Halifax NS Canada Volume 62 Number 109 LAKE, Prescott Morton - 86, of Falmouth, Hants Co., passed away Thursday, May 6, 2010, in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on October 14, 1923 in Summerville, Hants Co., he was a son of the late Embert and Martha (Mosher) Lake. Prescott worked for over 40 years as a foreman at Avon Valley Green Houses in Falmouth. He was a member of the Falmouth United Baptist Church. Prescott was an avid bowler and was a great outdoorsman. He loved country, blue grass and gospel music, and he frequently attended local music jam sessions. Surviving are sons, David, Falmouth; Glenn (Glenda), New Glasgow; daughter, Leisa (Steven) Leary, Falmouth; grandchildren, Kayla Leary, Karlene Gillott and Jeffery Lake; great-granddaughters, Amanda Gillott, Autumn Lake, and great-grandson Tucker Lake; several nieces and nephews; special friend Juanita Sanford. He was predeceased by his wife, Doris May Lake; sisters, Geraldine Ross, Mary Davis, Lorna Spencer; brothers, Embert "Bud", Douglas, Stanley, George, Lawrence "Collie", Chesley. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King St., Windsor. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, May 9, in Falmouth United Baptist Church, Centre Falmouth, Rev. Dennis R. Leamont officiating. Interment will be in Centre Falmouth Cemetery, Falmouth.
